Route 66 Challenge

The Waynesville-Saint Robert Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its first annual Route 66 Challenge on October 29, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Please be sure to be in attendance for one of the year's most memorable event marking history along Historic Route 66. Not only will you and your team be able to enjoy the scenic view but support a local charity as well.

Register your team of two early, the cost is $35.00; $5.00 per additional teammate ages 6 and up. Day of registration cost for a team of two is $45.00; $5 per additional teammate ages 6 and up.

Two free shirts will be provided per team for pre-registration. There will be additional shirts available for purchase at registration. Each team is provided a car flag to indicate they are part of the Route 66 Challenge. The Winning Team receives a cash prize of $150 and a check for $150 to go to a charity of their choice from the Chamber for Good web site. Receives a road sign, gets to keep the car flag and discounted entry fee for the next year. The Social Media winner: receives a small caution cone. Best Theme winner: receives a license plate frame.

It's important for all participants to remember that this is not a competitive race. All traffic laws must be obeyed. Safety amongst all drivers and passengers is important. Aggressive acts against other drivers will not be tolerated. Safety is of the utmost important.

Registration time begins at 7:30 a.m. The Challenge starts at 8:00 a.m. Questions are encouraged. Each team will have time to talk amongst each other and strategize.

There are 8 total adventures with the first adventure and all detours being distributed in the morning. Points are given out upon completion of each adventure. Additional points will be given in order of arrival time at the finish line. It's time to get a team together and drive the 33 miles of Route 66 and complete adventures and discover Pulaski in this competition of strategy. It'll be a fun discovery for all.
